Minor visa

  1. Original, signed passport:Passport must have at least 2 blank pages for visa purposes, must be valid for at least 90 days beyond the return date of the trip to the Schengen Area and has to be issued within the last 10 years on the day of leaving the Schengen Area.
  2. Passport-size photograph:Two recent (not older than 3 months), passport-size, UK standard, colour photographs with white background or you may also upload a photo with your order for us to print (charges applicable)
  3. Proof of Status:UK Residence permit, endorsed in the passport or issued as a Biometrics card, must be valid for at least 90 days beyond the return date of the trip to the Schengen Area. C type visitor visa is not acceptable.
  4. Student letter (original - hand signed or with original stamp):recent (less than 10 days old) signed UK university/college/school letter (addressed to the Embassy and confirming applicant’s enrolment)

  5. Every minor, irrespective of the visa category applying for, has also to provide the following documents:
    • Birth certificate: Unabridged birth certificate showing biological parents their names; If any of these documents was issued outside the EU, then translation is required in English or country’ specific language
    • Consent of both parents: Both biological parents need to give their written consent (signed & dated) for the minor to travel
    • Parents passports (copy)
    • Proof of sole custody (in case of a single parent): in case parents have divorced or one of the parents has deceased, then the same has to be demonstrated by court/residence order (original to be seen) or death certificate (original to be seen)
    • Guardian – the guardianship letter and guardian’s passport should be attached.

  6. SUPPORTING DOCUMENTATION FROM PARENT/GUARDIAN:
    1. Confirmation of Employment:Employer headed letter (original – hand Signed) recent (less than 10 days old), addressed to the Embassy, name and position of the signee and confirming applicant’s employment also provide latest 3 months payslips.
    2. Self- employment:letter (original – hand Signed) from Accountant recent (less than 10 days old), addressed to the Embassy and confirming applicant’s self-employment and Certificate of Incorporation/proof of annual accounts.
    3. Bank statements:Original or pdf copy of 3 months UK current account bank statements. Financial ability for travel should show £ 50 per day of stay abroad and having sufficient funds to pay the cost of travel and accommodation. The statement shouldn’t be older than 5 days.
    4. Proof of travel:(airplane, train, boat, coach, (hired) car) Confirmed return travel tickets mentioning applicant’s name and travel dates. When travelling by car, car registration, car insurance, return travel tickets (ferry or Eurotunnel) mentioning the car’s registration number and driver’s driving license. If applicant is not the driver, then driver’s cover letter (signed & dated) confirming joint travel with applicant and travel dates need to be provided too. When travel tickets have been paid through travel agency, then a receipt, an invoice or a payment confirmation is also required.
    5. Proof of accommodation:Copy of confirmed hotel reservations including name of the applicant, travel dates and accommodation address details.
    6. Travel insurance: (all-risk medical travel insurance) clearly showing the applicant’s name, covering the entire period of the intended stay in Schengen Area. The minimum coverage for medical emergency and repatriation must be € 30.000. If covered by your bank please provide a recent letter not older than 1 month confirming your insurance details.

  7. In case the minor is applying for EEA/EU and Swiss national family member
      • EEA/EU and Swiss national’s passport or ID card (original to be seen)
      • Proof of relation to EEA/EU and Swiss national: marriage/birth certificate (original to be seen) If any of these documents was issued outside the EU, then translation is required in English or country’ specific language
      • Letter from Swiss/EU/EEA national whose parent (applicant) is financially dependent on them. The letter must confirm the dependence (no own income) and that all parties live at the same address. Proof of dependence and address must be provided.
      • Proof of travel: (airplane, train, boat, coach, (hired) car) Confirmed return travel tickets mentioning applicant’s name and travel dates. When travelling by car, car registration, car insurance, return travel tickets (ferry or Eurotunnel) mentioning the car’s registration number and driver’s driving license. If applicant is not the driver, then driver’s cover letter (signed & dated) confirming joint travel with applicant and travel dates need to be provided too. When travel tickets have been paid through travel agency, then a receipt, an invoice or a payment confirmation is also required.
      • Proof of funds ,Proof of accommodation and Travel insurance are optional (not compulsory)
